So, we had a meeting with the teaching staff to start working on Standard C. My plans were a bit modified by the COVID-19 and we had to switch to ZOOM meetings instead of face-to-face whole group meetings.
It is more difficult to collaborate in these conditions, but not impossible.
Here is how we modified our strategy:
Teachers logged in the meeting in teaching pairs.
We all work on Standard C1 at the same time, instead of assigning groups.
The teachers discussed (in teaching pairs) about and listed the evidence for each practice.
Afterwards, I reviewed the evidence listed and updated the action plan/self-study with the teachers comments and hyperlinks to the relevant documents (meeting notes, planners, pictures of portfolio, etc.)
It was not the most interactive and fun meeting we had, but it was a necessary one! As the teachers seems to have understood what I expected from them, the next Standards will be done in a homework style: I will just present the Standards C2, C3, and C4 in the next meetings we will have, quickly say what they are about, and the teachers will have time during the week following each meeting to provide evidence for each practice.
